Better Pencilsketching and Erasing workflow
I like to do STORYBOARD Thumbnail Sketches in Goodnotes!!
I really like the PENCIL tool!
But often times I sketch in one colour ( light blue or red)
and then CLEAN UP the drawing in dark grey or black..I would really like to:
- THEN ERASE THE LIGHT BLUE SKETCH underneath, only..
NOT my sketch above!!
Right now this is NOT possible, because we have an ERASE HIGHLIGHTER ONLY option , but the Highlighter is too BIG for sketching!!Soo It would be indeed very helpful to HAVE a "colour-pick eraser.."

Rubber in the main menu
If you use for example the new forms and switch to the rubber by tapping your Apple Pencil and then you open the Pencil Menu, the rubber is selected.
I would prefer the rubber as an independent tool like the powerpointer.3 votes -
fix autoadvance
fix auto advance so eraser stops getting triggered every time you go to write on the blue section, it happens every time even if i don't try to trigger it and it's driving me nuts

more shapes or different shapes
In the new goodnotes 7 update the shape tool does not do sharp right angels and the draw and hold feature does not give perfect right angels so they should add this as a feature where your able to choose on a "natural shape" or a "precise shape" and when you try and draw a circle it does not give you an option on if you want it at an angle anymore this also goes for a trapezoid if you want a trapezoid and you use the shape tool or the hold feature it gives you a rectangle. Video clips and more writing tools and drag and drop of specfic page to my mind map
Everything is good I mainly use Goodnotes for mind mapping my lectures the only hindrance I faced that I was not able to add video clips to my notes, and also when I import PDF of my lecture notes in good notes. I can’t just drag and drop pages from like a specific slide to directly into my Notes, which is like a another hindrance because I have to take screenshot again and again and then put it back in. Select and copy as a screenshot just like notability
I echo this like other users did before. Math can be very messy especially with lots of questions. When you have to screenshot a question, you need to do a full 4 actions sequence to get a pasteable screenshot. If we can have a select copy paste screenshot this would be a killer-feature !

Highlight Reference Section
When taking handwritten notes or when reading a document, I will highlight important parts that I would like to come back to in the future. It would be very beneficial if there was an option to view all highlights in a document kind of like how when reading on a Kindle you can highlight quotes and then go back and review those quotes. This would make looking for specific information much more user-friendly.

Enhanced Text Formatting for Flashcard Learning Resources
Would it be possible to enable richer text formatting within the text fields of the flashcard learning resources?
Currently, the flashcards do not support advanced formatting options such as text colors, font variations, or styled layouts—features that are available in regular text documents within GoodNotes.Allowing users to customize text with colors, font styles, and structured formatting would greatly enhance clarity and memorization, especially for students who rely on visual organization in their study materials.

Apple Pencil or 3rd-Party Pencil
I am partially posting this to see if others are have this issue or if it is just me. I have two 3rd-party "Apple Pencil", one of which I only used once to verify it worked and maintain as a backup in case something happens with the other. Frustrating UI decisions and unaddressed bugs since Version 7
Text Selection Bug: This issue has persisted since Version 7. When I long-press to select text and then interact with another function, I cannot simply tap once to deselect/cancel the selection. I am forced to select a different character first before I can click to cancel. I expected this to be fixed after multiple updates, but it hasn't been addressed.

Full Color Palette Display in Highlighting
I love the new update but it has been less efficient because of the color palette for highlighters not in full display. Scrolling in switching colors has been a hassle while studying. In the next update, please bring back the full color palette display but do keep the floating function tool.

Image lock failure
You completed the image lock. Yay!
Unfortunately once an image is locked, I cannot use the links programmed into the base document that are behind the image. Added links can be layered on top but the base document cannot be altered.1 vote -

The ONLY thing that Noteshelf has on you guys is the writing experience. Noteshelf has true marker feeling with lights and darks as you write. The pencil is far better... goodnotes' pencil (while appreciated) is primitive in comparison. The writing experience should be a priority to pull in a whole new category of work - art. It doesn't have to be all art tools. Feature Request: Page Cropping / Page Trimming
I would like to have a feature that allows users to crop or trim pages to remove unnecessary areas and view documents in a cleaner format within GoodNotes.Currently, only objects such as images can be cropped, but there is no way to crop the actual page area itself. Adding a page cropping feature would greatly improve usability, especially when working with scanned documents or PDFs that include unnecessary margins.

page browsing by simple tapping instead of swiping
Swiping takes more time and effort for browsing through a document as compared to, e.g., tapping.
In many documents, I see an empty space to the left and right of the page. Couldn‘t this be used to allow tapping to effect immediate page browsing?

Goodnotes Page Separation
I love Goodnotes so much as a full time graduate student in chemistry. I can draw molecular structures, fill out pdf assignments with handwritten answers, and edit my work super easily.
I spend a lot of time uploading PDFs for homework assignments which allows me to write directly on them and export the pages into my grading platform. An idea that I have had (mostly for aesthetic purposes) is regarding the outline performance in a notebook; I add important pages to my outline, but its not necessarily a helpful tool until my notebook is over 50 pages or so.
