bring back old zoom functionality
A few versions ago, the zoom functionality worked so that if you were zoomed more than 100% and zoomed out, it would snap to 100%. And the same goes for being zoomed out less than 100% and zooming in; it would snap to 100%.

bring back continuous text box and allowing use to set to specifc font color
New update removed ability to stay on typing function and will revert back to Lasso. This is so annoying. Also bring back allowing the user to choose their default font color. My school uses dark colored ppts and when typing the auto selected black font makes it impossible to keep up with note taking as i constantly must highlight the text and change it to white font.

Bring back the ball point pen
I hate using the fountain pen because I want all my writing to look consistent. The fountain pen has places where it's thicker and places where it's thinner and it drives me crazy. The ball point pen was way better because it was consistent. Bring it back!

Shape tool is not as good as before
Shape tool has become worse than goodnotes 6. Earlier we could draw any shape by drawing and holding the shape but now it converts every weird shape into a perfect shape line like square, rectangle or star

[Audio Recording] Fix issue where audio stops or disappears in split-screen mode
When using GoodNotes in split-screen mode, I record audio on one side so I can listen to it later, while studying for a test on the other side. However, if I close the screen I’m studying on, the recording disappears. The same thing happens when I try to open a different document on the study side — the recording stops and disappears.
This feature worked fine before the update and also in GoodNotes 5, so I really want this issue fixed immediately. It’s seriously affecting my test preparation, and I’m having a lot of trouble because of it. Please fix…

Pen thickness adjustment
Allow the pen thickness adjustment have plus or minus options with/without slider
Everytime it's annoying to adjust the slider for 0.05mm thickness with accuracy. It's time consuming to adjust stroke with careful slight movement.12 votes -
Adding pressure adjustment for pencil feature
Allow users to adjust the pencil's pressure sensitivity. This pencil is hard to write in a solid stroke without the users putting a very strong force. Also polish the stroke's shape so that when it's thicker, the writing will not diffuse. Apple's own pencil stroke will be a great example.

Add LaTeX Equations in flashcards
I wished I could insert equations into my flashcards in the text part. Just like how I would insert an equation in LaTeX... Since GoodNotes allows to convert handwritten text to LaTeX equations, it would be nice to insert the LaTeX code directly into the flashcard for studying formulae.

Advanced searching and indexing with AI
Enhanced search functionality with LLMs that can recognize handwritten notes, keywords, and phrases, and provide results even from scanned text. These LLMs should be capable of searching things with Natural written things in sentence in the search bar of GoodNotes, such like these example for photos from Apple in the Picture. So it understands the Context of what you are searching for. You can search with natural language.

Opacity
Ability to adjust opacity of objects. Stickers, photos, etc.
There are many reasons I switched to Zinnia but this is the biggest selling point. It’s so basic I can’t wrap my head around why it’s not in GoodNotes.12 votes -
pencil/pen stabilizer
add a stabilizer like on procreate so handwriting would look more neat and less shaky. useful for people with bad handwriting or disabilities.

Font favorites
There are TONS of default fonts I will NEVER use but I have also downloaded a lot from iFont. However, I constantly have to weed through all the system fonts to get to the ones I use regularly to see which font looks best for a particular section of text.

Adjustable spacing of lined/dotted/square paper
I loved notability for this but I prefer Goodnotes for note taking, but we could adjust the spacing between the lines on lined paper. I find the spacing on Goodnotes narrow lined paper is too large for me and I’d love to be able to adjust it.

Delete added "Preferred Languages"
In the setting "Handwriting Recognition" it is possible to "Add Language" to the preferred languages.
If I added a language by mistake, I would like to be able to remove/uninstall a falsely added language.

Global color palette
It would be a critical feature for to have a global color palette that can be used in both handwriting and text. Otherwise, we will have to do double entry for every custom color that we want to use in different tools.

Windows App Icloud Sync
I got GoodNotes for my Ipad and love it. I assume the account is associated with my Apple ID on the device. I have now downloaded your Windows app, but it gives me Microsoft or Google sign-in options... so I can't log into the Goodnotes account that my iPad is using. Could add an Apple ID sign-in option for the Windows app?

More customizable options in the text section of smart flashcards
In the new feature of smart study flashcards, the typing section is stuck with one font and one format. If I could explained with different colors, formatting subscripts/superscripts it’d be super convenient and imp[rove my experience. Thanks for all of y’all hardwork!
