Insert note/ comment
If you want to add some extra points to your note, but you don't have that much space left, you can use the “insert note” feature, where a small icon can be placed anywhere in the note. When the icon is touched a small note pops up , where one can write. This feature is already there in other pdf annotating apps. I have attached screenshots of another app.

Create our own sizes for sheets/files
It would be amazing to have access to more size options, not just the predetermined like A5, letter or GoodNotes size that comes with the app.
With these:
- If someone like to print the notes, this could be helpful to adjust everything.
- This would solve a size problem to LATAM (with "Oficio size").
- If someone wants to print and waste the less amount of paper, we can personalized the size to the half of the measurement.

Improve battery usage
Using Goodnotes 5 for iPad Pro 2020, I have noticed that the application drains significant battery, especially in the background even though I am certain I have Background App Refresh turned off.
The competition, which is Notability, drains less battery. As well as this, Goodnotes 5 heats up my iPad quite a bit. I really love Goodnotes as opposed to any other application but please fix this battery drain issue.7 votes -

In order to see details of pictures in a flash card, would like a feature to select the image and have it pop-out into a zoomable window to review details.

Insert photo on a pape
The new update doesn’t have take photo button to insert on a page. We bow have to take photos separately app then insert on Goodnote. It is not convenient. Please add back the photo take. button

import/export elements sets
To utilise the new elements feature it would be great if we would be able to import or export elements sets. This would be great for digital sticker sets you buy from Etsy or similar places, so you do not have to import each sticker individually.

two Options to fill in in colour in a shape
In the app, there are two different menu points where you can change the option whether you want to fill in the shapes or not. But if I change it at the pen menu, the same change occurs at the shapes menu.
But it would be cool to be able to draw not filled in shapes when the pen is selected an to be able to draw filled in shapes when you select the shapes menu. So that the two buttons are not connected together.2 votes -
Copy or cut, after update
Since the last update, if you want to copy or cut some text out and past it somewhere else, you first need to hold long onto the text, and then you need to switch to the menu to the right. Before the update you didn't need to switch to the right, this was better and faster.

Camera shortcut
Since latest update the Camera shortcut is hidden in the IMAGE-section and not as a Stand-Alone Icon between IMAGE and TEXT.
We need to add a lot of photos to the Documents and now the workflow gets really disturbed as you always have to tap twice instead of 1.
please simply bring the Icon Shortcut back, thanks in advance!!!

Text recognition for images and imported PDFs
I think the app is great, but a feature that is missing is the ability to recognize txt on imported images and hand written PDFs.
It would be great is you just added that feature like in ZoomNotes.Another thing that I find necessary is a feature to cover text on images (for example when importing screenshots to make Flashcards and you want to cover the text on the image). This would be really useful after having OCR on images.

Ich nutze GoodNotes nun seit einiger Zeit und bin sehr davon angetan. Ich habe davor ein Jahr lang Notability getestet und muss sagen, dass das einzige was mich bei GoodNotes hält die Schnelltaste für Formen ist. Um Notability eine Nasenlänge voraus zu sein wären meiner Meinung nach folgende Verbesserungen Nötig:
- Es sollte möglich sein ausgeschnittene Textstücke,Bilder oder sonstiges von einer Seite auf die Nächste zu verschieben ohne die ausschnitte erst ausschneiden und dann wieder einfügen zu müssen. Wenn man mal schnell eine Seite umsortieren will stört dieser Vorgang den Workflow erheblich.

A mini notebook in your notebook Or an advanced flashcard ability
There is an app muse, who to tell you the truth is a bad app but has a very unique feature and that it has infinity amount of flashcards on it that they can become bigger and smaller and you can even add a card inside another

customized cursor to show where apple pencil is hovering on surface
I use the app to teach mathematics and computer science lectures to college students in online mode. One very important feature that is missing at present is that students have to use their attention to determine WHERE on the slide or notebook I am presently writing (i.e. they need to determine where new writing is showing up). Whereas, in a physical classroom, it's easy to see where the professor is and where in the blackboard he/she is writing or modifying a diagram. Love the app. I use it to teach computer science and mathematics subjects to college students in online mode. For the math course, at present I start with an empty white background and write on it. High pdf sizes
Your pdf sizes are too big, when I compare it other pdfs in terms of page numbers. That creates a big problem in iCloud free users and who have limited storage like 32 GB. Also, the program runs sometimes slow in notebooks with many pages.

Further Keyboard Navigation
It would be tremendous to have the ability to launch the page organizer (with Thumbnails, Favorites, Outlines) via a keyboard shortcut. Furthermore, once in that window, it would be handy to be able to jump between the Thumbnails, Favorites, and Outlines views.
I use all 3 of those organizational features in different ways within the same notebook, but navigation can get cumbersome. Having these navigational shortcuts would be a game changer.

Reminders and calendar support (Apple EventKit)
I would love to use a Goodnotes' planner, but there is one obstacle in the way for me, since reminders and events in those planners are not recognised by operating system.
I would love to have the option to sync those event/reminder information within Calendar and Reminders apps. Include support for Wacom pens with eraser end.
I would find it very useful if GoodNotes would include support for the eraser end of the pen used in higher-end Wacom screens and tablets. Thanks!
