Please make the import pdf page can zoom out
Please make the zoom out feature for import pdf, It’s really bother me to read, I like all the features about GN, but no zoom out makes me use notability right now, cause I couldn’t read when the font size too big.....

add page fuction
Thank you for developing such an useful app! I use goodnotes to take notes for my lecture. I write on my books or ppts and sometimes I want to add same-size template but with plain background so that it look like a continous work. So, I manually add present template and then add plain white image.
Can you please add an extra fuction such as adding same-size template with plain white background??

Re-color pen and highlighter marks quickly with a stroking tool.
The range of colors that GoodNotes offers is amazing, but it can be difficult in practice to fluidly incorporate them into documents. This could be streamlined considerably by having a coloring tool that allows the user to change the color of pen and highlighter marks by stroking over them with their pencil.
Motivation:
There are a lot of use cases where it is useful to have multi-colored diagrams and writing. For example, is often helpful to color certain variables and subscripts in mathematical equations to intuitively link equations together. As it is, doing this either requires changing the pen color…6 votes -
A wide variety of shapes and number lines/planes that can be easily drawn
I’m a maths teacher and would like to see a wide variety of shapes that can be easily drawn, than having to draw it line by line. The inclusion of 2D and 3D number planes would also be great.

Color Search
I think it would be an awesome idea to implement a color search! I often use different colors to represent different elements in my notes. For example, I use blue to write new equations or formulas and yellow to write important terminology. It would be so useful to be able to search for words by the color they are written in! Of course, it’s probably a difficult thing to accomplish (what with the ability for users to choose their color from the wheel), but I think if we were allowed to search for our presets, that might help fix that!

Search for a string within text
I tried searching for (as a specific example) “3919” (without quotes) when looking for a note I had hand written with the text “003919” (again without quotes).
Search didn’t find it until I searched very specifically for “0039” (no quotes).
It would be great if you could enable search of a string within words / text.
Incidentally, searching “003919” also gave zero results.

Full typing capability like a word processor
Would be great if the textbox function did more to convert the page to a full word processing document rather than being restricted to the paramaters of a word doc. This would mean automatically going to the next line when typing, font/formatting automatically adjusting to the page template (i.e. actually typing in the lines when I'm using lined paper instead of me having to resize the box and font to try to get them aligned), adding strikethrough and other functionality, etc. Especially for goodnotes desktop! This would completely eliminate onenote for me if I could markup pdfs and take handwritten…

A floating eraser icon
Since I am using Apple Pencil, switching the pen to eraser need to click on the eraser icon on the tab.
I suggest that there is a floating eraser icon on the screen, so I can drag that icon to my left hand side( I am right hand user). When I need to erase something, I can just tap the floating eraser icon using my left hand. Then it will be more efficient to user who are using Apple Pencil.
This idea might be useful to other pen functions too.1 vote -
Import file via login to google drive
I think that apple’s File app has some bugs, so every time I upload a file to my google drive from PC, I cannot see that file via import button.
Looks like it didn’t sync well on the File app.
In my opinion, GoodNotes should request user permission directly to access the file from google drive.2 votes -
A lasso select auto copy like the image tool (+)
The image tool has a long drag copy built in, I wish the lasso had that as well, I draw a lot of graphs and using the iOS Paste shortcut is hard, having the lasso work the same way as the image would be perfect

我是在居住在台灣的使用者，但是，中文的使用環境上，是繁體中文的。但是，生活或工作上，都會有很多機會是使用簡體中文，如果在軟體中內建簡體字轉換繁體字的功能，這會讓我在使用得到更好的體驗。word的軟體上有這樣的功能，我知道在ＰＤＦ的檔案上，也許需要很大的工程，但是，我還是提出我以上的建議與需求。希望有一天可以達到這樣的效果，

Schedule automatic backup or offer cooldown period
The current automatic backup attempts to backup your files after every edit and thus (based on my settings) attempts to render to pdf after every single edit. This constant rendering and uploading rapidly drains the iPad battery to the point where I lose about 20-30% per hour of use and as a side effect makes the device very hot and uncomfortable to use.
Instead, it would be good to have an option to either schedule a backup (i.e. once an hour, once a day, etc) or have a cooldown option where a document won't be backed up until say 5…

Saving Custom Font Colors
I would love to see the ability to save custom colors for fonts. I love the fact I can personalize the colors for pens but my handwriting is messy and I like to type certain things when making note pages.

Page-turning feature to flip through only "bookmarked pages".
If I flip through from bookmarked page to the next page, There is not the next bookmarked page, But the next page among the whole page.

Zoom Tool Box with own paper template
When importing a new paper template being and you are writing in the zoom text field and click enter the whole box jumps down the whole box length. So being able to select where it jumps to when pressing enter and it so it can for example jump to the next line like with the pre-installed GoodNotes templates would be very good

Edit and Save Convert to Text Feature
It would be good to be able to edit and save the convert to text function so when you're searching for specific prompts later and the convert to text did not work correctly automatically you could still find words later on.

Zoom Window Toolbar GN5
Please bring back the toolbar from GoodNotes 4. Having the pen, eraser, colors, and undo button is so crucial for note taking. This will increase speed for those of us without Apple Pencils. Double tapping to erase just doesn’t work like this Toolbar did.

Zoom to give gridlines, zoom out to return to a blank page.
Most of us can agree that a page of notes with no lines looks neater and as a result, makes notes more appealing and engaging. However, handwriting on a blank page can often lead to slanted writing which has the opposite effect. Therefore a very useful feature (I believe) would be to have a feature where if you zoom/close up on your notes page, gridlines show up, and then when you zoom out, the page returns to having a blank (no lines) background.

GoodNotes for Mac belongs in the Applications folder
I don't know why, but the GoodNotes app sits inside a GoodNotes folder in the Applications folder. That intermediate folder isn't necessary. Just put the App in the Applications folder.
