Export pdf highlights as plain tex
I would like to highlight while I read a pdf and have the highlights exported as plain text.

resize multiple items at once
Since you are able to select multiple pngs to move at once, it seems logical that you should be able to resize multiple PNGs at once. Similarly, being able to drag multiple PNG files into a goodnotes notebook at once would be amazing ( I heard this was previously a feature that went away).

Improve battery usage
Using Goodnotes 5 for iPad Pro 2020, I have noticed that the application drains significant battery, especially in the background even though I am certain I have Background App Refresh turned off.
The competition, which is Notability, drains less battery. As well as this, Goodnotes 5 heats up my iPad quite a bit. I really love Goodnotes as opposed to any other application but please fix this battery drain issue.7 votes -
Camera shortcut
Since latest update the Camera shortcut is hidden in the IMAGE-section and not as a Stand-Alone Icon between IMAGE and TEXT.
We need to add a lot of photos to the Documents and now the workflow gets really disturbed as you always have to tap twice instead of 1.
please simply bring the Icon Shortcut back, thanks in advance!!!

Automatically generate flashcards from import
It would be nice if I could upload, say, a text document with one word or sentence on each line, and have Goodnotes automatically produce a deck of flashcards with blank space for the question and each line of text as the answer. (Or a two-column spreadsheet with one column of question text and one column of answer text.)

Gallery to share PDF templates created
Hi GoodNotes Team,
I think that on your website or blog (possibly even within the app) you should feature an area where users can share and download pdf templates they have designed to be used on the app. For example weekly planner templates, grocery list templates, to do lists, etc.
As a side note, a partnership with someone like Canva could be really beneficial for your business in something like this. I love using them to create PDF templates for your app!

Colour memory for different tool
Please add memory of colour to tools. Switching from pen to shape tool, I’m stuck in the same colour used in “pen” , so I have to change the colour . Different tool should have different colour memory

Look at power point - and add most of the features found with regard to
Layers/shapes/form background/PASSWORD PROTECTION.
I could go on, buy GN 5 is still quite awesome. Just add the password protection and be done with that silliness already!
Oh, and sync with iCal / add alarm features for the TO DO list please!

Canvas Submission
Bring back the ability to upload assignments (pdf form) into canvas directly rather than saving it in files and attaching it through canvas.

Stabilize vertical scrolling
When I set the scrolling direction in Goodnotes to vertical, and I scroll up or down, the document keeps moving when I lift my finger or fingers.
This happens occasionally in other apps if I swipe very fast, but in Goodnotes it seems to happen any time I'm not super careful. That means it happens way too often!
This makes it hard to get the page to the place I want. If I'm presenting from the iPad, I keep accidentally scrolling to the wrong page. And I personally find it very unpleasant to look at--it's almost nauseating.
Please, turn down…

Make annotations on epub format documents and export them as pdfs
Hello:
As you may know, in education epub formarts are very useful to make digital and shareable content between student's and teachers and to make projects in wich studen's can learn and express theirselves creatively. The issue is that there ain't no very useful apps to make annotations or to grade these kind of assignmets. Could you please consider this suggestion?

Add a Linial to mess some stuff on pages
We Need a lineal function to mess some kind of stuff on our pages. Would be really nice for Students in Math to have the exact measure data.

Opaque shapes option
My professors sometimes provide us with scans of documents to read. I like to annotate as I read. However because these can be scans with black edges from scanning, it is really hard to find a color that will show through. If I was able to put an opaque shape behind my text to make it easily viewable, that would be awesome. The current fill only allows for a see though fill and it doesn’t help at all. I also can’t chose white because it would not show on the white spaces and I don’t want to be changing pen…

Schedule with link to the notes
Add schedule that can link my document to certain days like for example in Sunday I want to review my pharmacology notes and to complete another note, when I tap on the name of the note that is written on the schedule it takes me directly to the note page.

Colored favorites
As a student I have it iced myself flagging slides/pages for many reasons. It would be nice to have the ability to change the color of the flags. For example, so I can quickly see what items I need to review and what items I have favorited for reference.

Maintaining size of pasted picture
When copying/pasting a picture from my MacBook to my iPad, the size of the image is inconsistent. For instance, I could copy a certain image from a website and it'll paste as 400x200. Another image from the same site that's about the same size will paste as 800x400. It seems to depend on the amount I'm zoomed in when pasting, but the option to maintain the size would be awesome.
