  1. Shape tool has become worse than goodnotes 6. Earlier we could draw any shape by drawing and holding the shape but now it converts every weird shape into a perfect shape line like square, rectangle or star
Just make it as flexible as goodnotes 6 shape tool

  2. Please introduce a theme customization feature in Goodnotes.

It would be great if users could personalize the app by selecting their own colors or applying themes from a theme store.

In addition to light and dark mode, please allow customization of the writing UI, menu colors, and background styles as well.

  5. Hello Goodnotes Team,

I am a long-time user of Goodnotes, and I recently upgraded to Goodnotes 6. I am writing to request a crucial improvement regarding text formatting and tables.

In Goodnotes 5, when I copied a table from ChatGPT or websites and pasted it into a text box, the table structure and grid format were preserved perfectly. However, in Goodnotes 6, this formatting is lost upon pasting; only the raw text appears or the table breaks entirely.

Copying and pasting digital study materials (like ChatGPT tables) is essential for my workflow. It is very inconvenient to have to use…

  6. Please add actual font-size controls to Text Documents. It’s ridiculous that in 2026 I can change text “styles” but I still can’t simply make normal body text larger.

I do not want to turn half my document into headings just to make the text readable. That is not a workaround — it’s bad design.

This is also an accessibility issue. People with eye strain, visual fatigue, or simply different reading preferences should be able to choose a comfortable font size. The regular Text Tool already supports font sizing, so there is no good reason for Text Documents to be this…

  7. One of the key ways OneNote is useful is the organization of sub-tab structure so one class notebook can have multiple sections. I have to swipe right a million times to get to my notes for class number 9 in a syllabus.

  8. It would be super ultra cool if I could upload my own font to Goodnotes. Some apps already do that such as Phonto. When I type in Goodnotes on my Mac, I enjoy using all my Saved fonts. But on my iPad Pro where I do 95% of my Goodnotes work when I look at the text, I inserted using Mac, the font changed..

  9. I would love if we were able to lock stickers in place on the page (like you currently can with images). I use stickers to add dimension and write over a lot in my notes, and it's a little frustrating when I accidentally interact with the sticker while writing and it shifts across the page. It would be extremely helpful to be able to lock them in place. Thank you!

  10. The undo button has been migrated to an inconvenient location. Please revert this change.

I use split screen mode very often on my tablet, with Goodnotes on one side and lecture slides open on the other. The undo button was easily accessible before.

Now I have to tap the 3-dot menu just to undo one change. The only other options are to use Goodnotes fullscreen (not ideal), or surgically erase things on diagrams I've drawn.

This was so disruptive that I've already started moving to a different service. I'm aware there are smart gestures available, but I still heavily prefer…

  11. Currently it is possible to create cards in a study set for both typed and image based cards that are black background with white text. Writing the cards by hand however forces the background to be white.

This is incredibly jarring when I am trying to study and I would very much like to create handwritten cards with a dark background and lighter text.

  13. I have a master to do list, but often i'll be in another notebook and will create a to do item and write it on the side of the paper. i would like to be able to send that item to the master to do list, so i don't lose it in the many pages.

  15. One feature I would really love to see in Goodnotes is the ability to add a notebook-style background around imported and resized PDF slides, such as lined, grid, or dotted paper.

This feature is already available in Notability, and it is one of the reasons why many students prefer using Notability for lecture notes.

A common workflow for students is to first use another app or website to resize their lecture slides, then import the resized PDF into Notability. Notability allows them to place the slides on a notebook-style page with a lined background surrounding the slides, creating a clean…

  17. Goodnotes for Academic Papers!
I know a lot of researches who use Goodnotes for Papers these features would improve the experience immensely:
    - different identifier fields, not just title but Author(s), year, category
    - Endnote Plugin
    -Research rabbit plugin
    -ArXiv plugin

    And I said it before:
I need to be able to search in a folder not search everything, everywhere, all at once

  18. I’d like to request a native two-page viewing mode, as it would make studying and reading much more efficient.

The Issue: Reading textbooks, reviewing lengthy PDFs, or using digital planners is a bit restricted when we can only view one page at a time. While we can use the iPadOS split-screen to open two Goodnotes windows, it clutters the screen with duplicate toolbars and reduces the actual workspace.

The Solution: A built-in toggle to view two consecutive pages side-by-side, exactly like an open physical notebook or book.

Having a clean, native two-page layout would make comparing notes and reading across…

  19. I’d like to suggest a small but highly practical feature that would greatly improve the writing experience: the ability to scroll past the bottom of a page.

The Issue: When writing at the very bottom of a document or slide, the page stops moving. This leaves no screen space to rest our hand, forcing it awkwardly off the edge of the iPad. It’s uncomfortable and makes it difficult to maintain neat handwriting at the end of a page.

The Solution: Allow the page to be scrolled further up, past the bottom margin. This would create a blank, inactive space at…

  20. Dear Goodnotes Team,
I am writing this email to share a suggestion aimed at enhancing and refining an app cherished by millions of users.
As you may know, many users find it challenging to maintain consistent handwriting size across their notes. To address this issue, I propose displaying the current zoom percentage on the screen when a user zooms in or out. Additionally, it would be extremely helpful to introduce a zoom lock feature for a specified percentage. For instance, if a user zooms in to 120%, they could lock the page at that exact level. This functionality would ensure…
