  3. If linked to the outline, the pages linked will guide me to the content I linked.
    Example for current situation:
If I add one page before the content I wish to link on Document A, the current linked page will move to the next page from page 7 to page 8. And when I click on the link on Document B, it will still guide me to Document A, page 7. But the actual content has already moved to page 8 cause of adding a page.

  4. Since handwritten recognition only work on Flatten export, and Editable is much bigger, it would be great to have the option to choose to include outlines in the Flatten Export.
It could be a selectable option when exporting to PDF (Like including handwritten recognition)

  5. Much like words or google docs, when you select text type to Heading 1,2,3. Outlines will automatically add the Heading to Outline page(like in the picture).

This would be version useful and saves times when taking notes. still keep the "Add to Outline" button.

  6. Please create a sidebar with dividers and subjects and files to make navigation easier. It's more convenient than clicking file into file just to find one document.

  7. I would really like it if we were able to select a text/handwriting within the notes and add it as an outline instead of having to choose a full page. Also, I would like the option to create sub outlines within an outline!

  8. Would like the option to group a collection of pages within a notebook, and collapse / expand them to make larger notebooks easier to navigate.

Don’t want to create nested folders as this involves too much clicking around.

At the moment I create section heading pages and tag them as favourites, the use favourites view as a type of table of contents page like a book.

Would be better though if from the outline view you could group and collapse pages to make it easier to scroll through the groups, then select them to see the pages in sections to…

  9. In Goodnotes there is the option to structure a document. There is then the "Own outline" and the "PDF outline". You can then use the filter to select which of the two outlines should be displayed, or whether both or neither should be displayed. I actually only ever need the "Own outline" and I never want the "PDF outline" to be displayed. Of course I can always select this when I am in the outline, but when I open a new document or go to the same document after I have closed Goodnotes, both …

  10. Documents show the total number of pages instead of the page number in the book. It would be nice if the page numbers on Goodnotes corresponded to the page numbers in the book itself. (skipping the contents and earlier pages)

  12. When creating custom outlines, Goodnotes' current behavior is to order any same-page outline sections alphabetically. I'd love to be able to arbitrarily reorder them for the sake of coherence and clarity. For example:

    1. I add a section on [page 58] titled "Act I, Scene 7".

    2. Further down on [page 58], I'd like to add a section titled "9. PARKER FAMILY SINGALONG".

If you look at the included screenshot, you'll see that the order of what's on the page can't be preserved by the outline because there's no way to reorder same-page sections within an outline. This can lead…

  13. Using the lasso tool, when I select a title I could make it a heading, subtitle or subheading & the app would automatically recognize it and show it in the outlines tab.

  16. It would be a huge time saver if somehow the app would automatically index any sort of annotation to either the front of the doc to summarize certain chapters or documents. This could effectively summarize the ideas and create an outline of the doc so that one would not have to go back to find different highlights etc.

  17. I'm glad bullets are now automatically added from dashes at the start of a line and that pressing enter from a bulleted line creates a new line with a bullet.

However, when I have a bulleted line, I want to be able to press tab and have the bullet indent one level (and indent another level each time tab is pressed).
Pressing enter should start a new line with the bullet at the same indent depth as the previous line. Pressing enter again on this new indented line should back the indent depth one level at a time for each…

  18. I study medicine, so I would love to be able to draw out a human outline, and then nest my notes and link them together i.e. a click on the heart would then link to my notes on heart pathophysiology

  19. Similar to how you can type notes for specific slides on a powerpoint, this feature would allow you to type notes beside the document, not on the actual document. This feature could live in the sidebar of the document and be collapsable when not in use. For example, If you were using Goodnotes online or on the desktop app, you would be able to more efficiently type notes that correspond to each page without having to mess with text boxes, which often slow down workflow (espically if you are typing notes during class).
