Simple Keyboard Only Tools for Iphone
As a Goodnotes user on Ipad (+ Pencil) and Iphone I would really like more flexibility with using a keyboard for text imput on both platforms, but primarily on Iphone.
I would really like to have nested bullet points, dashes, numbering, and indentation features available within the Text Boxes

Ideas about content and page number
I hope that you can added two useful functions to the app.
The first one is that let the user modify the code of book, that is, let the user customize the first page of books. The users can not go to according page that the content tell us because the page number in the app is a sum equals the later page number add the content, including the cover. That's really make me crazy.
The second one is that Increase the level of the outline. We can add the page to the outline, but we can not set…

Templates! Flyers, Outlines, Planners, Calendars, To-Do's and Template manager
Create more templates that are quick and easy to edit and change. Make a template management system or folder.
Make templates for Work, School, Business, Time Mgmt, Expenses, Budgets etc.
459 votesFor GoodNotes 5, we created new paper templates and covers, including calendars, to-do lists and more. Also, it is now easier than ever to manage your paper templates and add custom ones.

Spaced repetition
There should be some middle ground for the answer. I mean currently there are only 2 options, “i know” “i dont know” it will be great if you add two more like “i knew it partially “ and “i knew it but took effort to get there”. And one more suggestion if it contains nested subfolders. It will be great.

Shape tool that works similar to Microsoft Word's shape tool
Have a second shape tool, or maybe an option in the current one, that works like the Microsoft word shape tool. Choose a shape from a predefined, yet extensive, list. Be able to choose outline and fill color (including clear), and maybe even opacity. Once it's placed on the page allow scalability of the whole shape, rotations, and even adjusting points on the shape to make warped shapes. Included here should be arrows, a line, and a dotted line.

Essential Text Formatting
It would be extremely beneficial to adopt some formatting options for text, bulleted lists, and outlines similar to typical document editing programs, such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs. While the app is currently great, the lack of an option to create an outline-style text box is a huge inconvenience. If you could make an outline with roman numerals and tab over for uniform subsections the app could save countless frustrating situations that students face having to use multiple document programs. While this may seem like a small problem, it is the only thing preventing GoodNotes from completely…

Snap shape fill needs revision
Upon newest update issue with snapping shapes has come up.
The outline of the shape seems to snap smaller than desired but then when dragged to make larger it also decides to get taller.
Would prefer that the shape snap does not shrink the outline wanted
Also would like to revert to the outline being erased first when going to erase rather than the inside because I can turn off shape fill if I wanted.

Highlighting on main text when window tool is open
During lectures ... when the speaker is going over an outline and speaking I want to use the window tool to write my own notes, but be able to only switch my pen to a highlighter and highlight the outline without closing the window tool so I can quickly switch back to my pen and not lose the location of my window tool and where I was writhing my notes. I would use this all the time but I’ve had to switch back and forth from x-ing out of the window tool then highlighting my outline then re-opening the window…

Improving Flashcard Functionality
The flashcard feature is great but there are a few features that I would like to see:
1.) Ability to switch the Q&A sections
After a few weeks of using this feature, there are times when I would like to flip the Q and A section of the flashcards.
2.) Convert any page into a flashcard
I've created a PDF file (around 60 pages) to be turned into flashcards and was hoping to be able to import it and just convert it from there. This was not possible and I had to make a template for each page, set it…

Adjust sidebar width on mac
When viewing outlines, if the name for the outline is long, the user can only see only a few words (around 2-3 words). I wish goodnotes could add a function to adjust the sidebar width on Mac.

Favorites - without thumbnails
Currently, Goodnotes5's favorites are displayed using thumbnails. This makes it very difficult to find the page that I want to read - have to keep scrolling. Bookmarks/favorite has always function as an outline for me when I used Goodnotes 4.
I suggest to allow users to have the option of switching between 1. having thumbnails or 2. without thumbnails and only display the title of the bookmark/favorite (like goodnotes4)

Allow 'resize' to change the proportions of existing shapes
While creating a shape, it is possible to freely change its proportions (ie, a square into a rectangle, or a circle into an ellipse). Afterwards, however, these proportions become locked: the 'resize' function works in effect as 'rescale'. I often find, however, that I need to change them, f. example if I am using the shape to outline some handwritten text, and I add to that text. I often end up having to redraw the entire shape.
All you would need to do is to let the 'resize' option work for shapes in the same way as it already does…

Optimization and other suggestions about adaptation of mac version
bug: at the position where the outline is added, the cursor cannot be moved left and right with the keyboard only, this should be a mac version bug
Suggestions: 1. The mind mapping function is really needed. The way to make and import using other software is very silly, and the pictures will float on the lines of the notebook, which is unacceptable!
2. The outline needs to be arranged by itself. It is recommended to cancel the automatic arrangement or add related setting options. Want to refer to the way of the paper, 1 can have a subordinate directory…2 votes -
Add space for researchers
First thank you for your priceless. application. It’s really enjoyable to take notes.
As a researcher, I need to read and annotate lots of papers. I would appreciate it if you could add a feature that allows me to write out the outline. I show it in the attachment. It will help organize and make annotation more enjoyable. Also, it gives us more space to make a connection between different articles.3 votes -
Fully filled forms
It would be great to have an option to decide if the automatically create form is filled with full colours (just like the outline) or pastel colours (like it is now)

Pencil just for headings
It would be very convenient to have a pencil that just exist to write down headlines. I often use one strength of the three options just for headlines so one could expand functionality by implementing more features to this and specify one pen(strength) just to headlines. One feature suggestion might be to automatically add a page on which a headline was written to the outline. The headline itself can then be used as the outline entry's description by using the handwriting recognition software.

Create own PDF outlines and embed sections
I'd really like a way to set up Outlines for our notebooks so that each section has its own subsection. The subsection would be linked altogether (e.g., Chapter 1 is one, Chapter 2 is another, etc.)
That way, we could more easily drag and drop to reorder things in our notebook instead of having to tediously do each slide one-by-one!

keyword or label for pages within a notebook
Feature to apply one or more labels to a single page of a notebook.
Similar to how email labels work within GMail. This is a different idea or for a different use than the ‘outline’ thumbnails. The outline feature seems to serve best as a table of contents. My idea here is of a combination of a table of contents + index. I realize that more than one outline label can be assigned to a page.
Include a thumbnail screen that would show all pages associated with a label.
The thumbnail screen could be dedicated to 1 notebook…1 vote
