Favorite a notebook
Have the ability to mark a notebook as a “favorite” within the notebook when it is open. I like to use this feature so I can find specific notebooks more easily within all of the folders. I sometimes forget to make one a favorite and accidentally close it and it can be challenging to find it once its closed.

Auto Adjust(resize) of pen tip
“smart" auto-adjustment that changes the physical pen thickness (e.g., from 0.5mm to 0.2mm) like the laser point have while we zoom in & zoom out.
This feature would be great & much helpful instead of manually clicking & adjusting the pen thickness.

Report on annoying image selection while writing

Shape tool color/thickness should match pen color/thickness automatically
My app just updated, making the toolbar different. Now if I want to use the shape tool to make straight lines or something, I have to manually change every setting from size to color to match my pen tool every single time I change colors/sizes. This makes it very frustrating when I do color coded notes every single day that need me to switch between colors, line thickness, and free drawing vs straight lines constantly (as is visible in my attached screenshots). [Handwriting] Integrate smart script
Please integrate the ios18 new notes app feature. The smart script will make me it faster and easier to write. It edits the users handwriting allowing to make it easier to read or add more and other things. Smart Script also maintains the look and feel of a user’s personal handwriting, automatically refining it in real time to be smoother, straighter, and more legible. Please I beg for this feature!!!

Drag and drop colour fill
Instead of having to colour in drawings or shapes by hand (which is time consuming and sometimes difficult), being able to drag a colour of you choosing to fill inside a shape would be amazing! They have this feature on Procreate and it saves so much time and stress. I would love this to be added to Goodnotes too!

Multi-Page View: Please allow viewing 2-page (spread) or 4-page layouts on a single screen.
A 2-page view is essential for a book-like experience, while a 4-page view is great for scanning data. Users should be able to write across these pages while the strokes are still assigned to their respective pages. (Reference: Flexcil and Noteful).

Stop changing the UI
As a Goodnotes user for the past 10 years: please stop changing the UI. I know the business and product teams probably feel pressure to keeping adding more stuff to get more users and growth whatever, but you are alienating your hardcore power users that have been recommending this product for 10 years.

Decouple zoom window from main view
When writing in the zoom window, the place where you are writing has to appear also in the main view. This is sometimes inconvenient as it may be handful to write in page 3 but seeing page 1 for instance.

Option to undo closed tab and pin certain open documents
I have two similar requests:
I am a private tutor so I usually have a couple of standard documents open on my iPad all the time (e.g. PDF of the periodic table). When I close the app (not minimise) or when I press the x button by mistake, I need to re locate it in my folders. I know I can 'favourite' it but it would be so much easier if there is an option to pin it (sort of like in Safari/other web browsers where you can pin open windows). It would be extremely helpful if GoodNotes supported video recording of the note-taking process, including screen capture and optional audio recording. This feature could allow users to:
• Record lectures or self-explanations while writing
• Rewatch how notes were created step by step

Shape editing was better in Goodnotes 6
I regularly use the shape to draw curved lines and then edit their shape to create larger, more complex shapes. Currently, that‘s next to impossible:
- Editing points don‘t scale with zooming; especially when editing small lines, the points now cover up the lines entirely.
- These lines are often glitched out and turn invisible while editing, especially when multiple lines are connected together.
- After editing a line, Goodnotes automatically selects the lasso tool instead of the pen, making the drawing process very tedious.None of these issues occured with Goodnotes 6, I hope these issues are fixed with…

Organisation Tab
I really like the Idea of a coloration Tab or planning tab. So that I can give myself tasks with deadlines, have a calender for exams etc.
If I then could invite people to join my project where I can assign tasks like in other Apps (see notion, microsoft teams or asana).
All in all I want a feature where I cannot only work but plan and get reminded for my work without using a second app.1 vote -
Menu redesign
Right now it feels the navigation part is taking too much space vertically. I would consider remove the top-most dark blue part of the navigation panel, as for the functions there, they can be moved to the tool row (pencil, eraser, color etc). This may make the tool row a bit crowded, but one can always add a scrolling to fit all the tools we have right now.

pen & highlighter straight line changing point
In the newer versions, the blue changing points for drawing straight lines are very big. If you zoom in, it becomes impossible to be exact.

More Keyboard Shortcuts
Please add more to the keyboard shortcut list! I work with a macro pad right now and it is super useful to be able to switch between the tools. But it would be a huge improvement to able to toggle between the colors, and sizes. Even better make the keyboard shortcuts customizable. Continuing to work on the keyboard shortcuts in any capacity would make a large improvement to my work flow.
