Objects for Mac app like the iPad
I noticed someone that showed me the app, it had symbols to drag and drop (circles, squares, etc) can we not have these on the Mac app (it's what I have)
I need these to draw cameras, TVs speakers on drawingsThanks!

delete circled markings by pressing "delete" on the keyboard
On Goodnotes Macbook, I believe that when I want to delete markings in an area, I would use the select function, and circle the area which selects the markings I want to edit and by pressing "delete" on my keyboard. But somehow that doesn't work with goodnotes, and apparently I could only switch to the eraser function. (Somehow the "delete function after double-tap is also greyed out, along with all the other functions including making screenshot, changing colour etc, not sure if its a glitch specifically regarding the macbook version of goodnotes, or is it something im simply not doing…

shapes are treated as handwritings, making handwriting recognition not working well
It seems that GoodNotes 5 treats shapes drawn by using the shape tools just like regular handwritings made by the pen tools, but this becomes a problem when it comes to handwriting recognition/search.
When I draw shapes such as boxes or ovals over handwritings for highlighting certain words or phrases, handwritings are not recognized well.
The only workaround seems to be using the highlighter tools since GN5 doesn't consider highlighters as text to be recognized but highlighter tools don't offer precise thickness control unlike the pen tools.
Notability seems to treat both the highlighter and the shapes differently to handwriting…

When showing paper choices, allow user to press for magnification pop up before choosing.

Add all of the graph pages in from GoodNotes 4. I have an entire sales force that uses the 5 ft2 scale graph sheet. We need it back
The Graph Pages from GoodNotes 4 are missing. We REALLY need these back. I have an entire sales force that uses these to make scale drawings. We transfer them to our company paperwork. Please give them back! Soon ! `

Please add function for importing photo files like jpg from google drive. It can be done in Goodnotes 4 but not available in Goodnotes 5.

when you duplicate a file, append _copy instead of prepending "Copy of"
this will keep the new file next to the original when sorted by Name

Tap with pencil outside the page to pick the select tool
I rotate pen, eraser and lasso tools very often and very quickly. I would like to be even quicker. For this, it would be useful to have an auto-deselect option for the lasso tool, to be triggered when I tap anywhere in the page, as I normally do to deselect the selected object. The auto-deselect should give me back the pen automatically. Also, it would be very intuitive and amazingly fast having the reverse behaviour by tapping the pen outside the page to select the lasso tool.

Add "back side" of a note page
I am a undergraduate student and I always use GoodNotes for notes during the class. I just import all PPT I have and sometimes find there do not have enough space while the whole PPT have my instructors’ notes. And If I just add another page to write, the information and the whole PPT will be much more messy. I just cannot find the important points from my professor and my own by add like 10 pages own notes with 3~50 pages of PPT. Add a "semi-hidden" tab, it will be very helpful to add my own notes without destroying…

The lasso tool doesn’t work on imported image.
It would be better if I could select any part of an image (imported to GoodNotes 5 ) to cut/ copy it so that I could delete/paste it anywhere else on the page/pages. I am attaching a video to convey my point. If this feature is available please let me know how to use it.

If I am using the global search I like to edit the found documents (rename, delete, move) like it is possible in the normal view.

Highlight and pen toggle gestures/shortcuts
For quick and undisturbed writing, there should be some toggle to switch between last used tools like pen-eraser, pen-highlighter, etc

In class you sometimes want to point out something very specific. It is good to be able to hide everything else briefly. A kind of spotlight or magnifying glass. This function would be great.
