Please make the templates editable. For example I like a margin but I find it's too wide. I'd like the templates to be editable such that you can have a smaller or larger margin as needed.

Text Box Issues
When I use the text box, the line height keeps changing. I have to and adjust the line height for each sentence, despite having a set default. I also hate how it goes to Lasso all the time, I never use Lasso. I miss Goodnotes 6 as it was easier to use for someone who struggles with technology.

Change the text box when you say it in a good way
This update is seriously frustrating.
Why does the tool automatically switch to the lasso tool after using a text box?
The previous version was much smoother and easier to use — now it just feels unnecessarily inconvenient and irritating.
It honestly looks like this change was made without any real consideration for users.And if you’re not even reading App Store reviews but just telling people to “send feedback,”

rotate and resize text with two fingers
When I am using the lasso tool I would like to rotate the handwritten text with my fingers or pencil and resize it as well but it seems very restricted at the moment. When I use two fingers it duplicates which there is no need for as there is a copy and paste function and the only way to rotate is the box icon which is very restricted and not free as in like free motion.

Import PDF as a study set
There are multiple ways of doing this:
(A) Chop each page in half: top half becomes the ‘image’ for question, bottom half becomes the ‘image’ for answer.
(B) Two pages per flashcard, one for question and one for answer (maybe do this if pdf is in landscape mode).This would be immensely helpful as currently you can only import text, which is an issue if your flash cards have diagrams or render LaTeX.

When converting a regular document to a whiteboard, the page limit is currently restricted to about 20–25 pages. However, these days many lecture materials exceed 100 pages, and in some cases—especially for law-related subjects—they can easily go beyond 300 pages. I strongly suggest increasing this page limit.

Please create an auto-generated table of contents template, that can also be edited. This should include an option to sort by date, through your outline, or topics.
Someone else said "Allow me to select the text, eg my page heading like (meeting to discuss projected financial) and then click on a button which shoots the page heading to an automatically generated table of contents in the front of the Notebook. I am a dedicated user of your app, and I love how it has transformed my note-taking. I have a feature suggestion that I believe would be immensely valuable for students and professionals in mathematics, science, and engineering: the addition of a built-in Cartesian Coordinate System tool.

MIDI support
I'm using Goodnotes on iPad mainly on stage as a guitarist. As I'm not using real sheet music but have my own note-taking scheme, Goodnotes is the perfect tool for me. On stage I'm also using a bluetooth foot-switch (Boss FS1-WL) which is sending HID commands such as "Right arrow" to turn the next page in Goodnotes and it's working well.
However I have the need to select the next "Performance" on my Amp-Modeler (this can be any MIDI device) at the same time. As the Foot-switch is only able to either being in HID- OR MIDI-mode, this is not…1 vote -

Currently, the screenshot process is cumbersome, as users must manually crop the image after each capture, which is inefficient.We suggest adding a screenshot pen that allows users to directly draw a selection box around the desired area. We hope that the button used to return to the desktop, as well as the button for selecting files from the desktop, can be made repositionable.
This would help address the issue on iPad where, in Split View mode, these buttons are obstructed by the window control buttons, preventing users from returning to the desktop while using split-screen mode.

Shape Tool: Horizontal snap for underlines (no hold required)

Please add (or restore) horizontal snapping in the Shape Tool so near-horizontal strokes become perfectly straight underlines without draw-and-hold.Problem
In Goodnotes 7.0.6, to get a perfectly straight underline I must use Pen/Highlighter and pause for draw-and-hold on every stroke. This breaks flow when underlining many items per page.Current behavior

upgrade to comment section
comment section in goodnotes is very limited
Trust me majority of goodnotes users are medical students and they uses goodnotes for books mostle sometime for new notes
so when you read and highlight premade books and pdf there is very little space for adding new points and pictures
i want goodnotes team to upgrade the comment section so you can add pdf or pictures to the comment section and enable highlighting in comment section and when comment section popups on clicking on it it should be more larger windows so people can read the pdf/pictures/direct text with hightlights more easily…7 votes
