   Apple's PDFKit allows to show two pages of a PDF side by side. PSPDFKIT (which is what Good Notes 5 uses) should support the same option.

   I'm currently using the iPad 12.9 and typically have it in the horizontal orientation and there's soooo much wasted screen real estate. When making notes on a book or a large report, it's helpful to have more context on what is before and after the content. PDF books are often typeset such that content being read on a left hand side has images or quotes from the right hand side, and context is currently lost in a single page.

   GoodNotes 5 has replaced my notetaking + planning + ebook reader applications. This is the one feature will push it over the top in my humble opinion.

   Although GoodNotes 5 currently supports the iOS built in split view, it's not as nice when trying to view pairs of pages from the same book in split view. Moving forward requires two swipes on both the left window and the right window. Additionally, it limits use of other applications for split view.

   Ideally, I'd like to be reading a book or report in split view, and making notes along that way. Occasionally, I'll need to check YouTube or Wikipedia or a Thesaurus for additional information, which can allow the GoodNotes 5 split to change back to single page. Once I'm done with the split, I can close it to return back to a twoUp view.

2. Reveal tool for presentation mode

   When 'Mirror Presenter Page' or 'Mirror Full Page' is active, it would be useful to be able to progressively reveal elements.

   I imagine this would be grouped with the laser pointer tool and when selected would dim or reduce the opacity of all elements on the page in the device view but hide them on the external display. The tool would then function like the inverse of the eraser (stroke, standard or precision, different pen sizes) to reveal the elements. Selecting another tool would reveal all elements again (no saved state) and selecting another page while the reveal tool is selected would open it hidden.

   I would find this useful when teaching the same topic to multiple classes or recording video. Currently I either rewrite the notes (useful to improve them and incorporate new ideas raised in discussion) or carefully erase elements in reverse (after duplicating the page, just in case!) and use undo to progressively reveal. I especially use the latter if the notes have lots of fine detail and/or need to be prepared beforehand. Duplicating many copies and selectively erasing to make a flipbook-style presentation would be very cumbersome for this use case.

3. Wide /panorama mode in "Take photo" mode

   I'm using Iphone -8 and ipad ,not have wide camera (zoom 0.5X) like Iphone 12.

4. GOODNOTE FEEDBACK (GALAXY TAB S7 Plus User)

   I am a user who is using Good Note with Galaxy Tab S7 Plus.

   1. Frame Drop
      Every time I turn the page, I keep seeing frame drop differently from other apps.
      (+ Zoom in, Zoom out)

   2. Laser pointer
      Unlike IOS, it is a pity that there is no laser pointer function.

   3. S pen
      Functionality (eraser) for the Spen button is not provided.
      (Samsung S Pen and LAMYS Pen)

   4. Dual Screen mode
      I hope the dual screen function that allows you to view multiple PDFs at once is supported.

   5. Voice file
      It's the same for IOS, but I'd like to include a function that allows you to extract voice recordings separately.

   6. Left sub Page screen
      I think it would be good to have an option so that the page subscreen can be placed at the top.

   7. File group
      I think it would be good if you put in a function that allows you to create groups by file.

      It would be nice if you could create a category where developers who develop good products can receive sponsorship.

5. GoodNotes Andoid on my Fold 4

   I love GoodNotes on iOS but would LOVE to use it on my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 which is 7.6" - just shy of the 8" minimum. Any chance as the beta goes, GoodNotes will open up to my size screen?

6. Drag and Drop notes as images on Mac

   The current drag & drop feature copies notes as a PDF file. (http://feedback.goodnotes.com/forums/191274-customer-suggestions-for-goodnotes/suggestions/19716046-export-individual-pages-using-drag-and-drop-mac-a)
   However, It's sometimes desirable (and easier to view) if I copy them as images (to email app, iMessage, other note-taking app like Bear, etc.). I wish there is an option to select images over PDF.

7. Make GN5 compatible with other smart stylus!!

   Please, people that don't has an apple pencil but has another smart stylus now can't use it with GN5 as they did in GN4. I'm a new user, and when i found that out I had already bought GN5, and now I don't want to spend another 8 dollars to buy GN4

   Currently, the voice recording feature in Goodnotes records audio across the entire document without linking the recording to a specific page. This makes it time-consuming to locate which part of the recording corresponds to which page or note.

   Proposed Improvement:
   Introduce a feature that allows users to record audio directly linked to a specific page, similar to how comments or annotations are added.

   Suggested Functionalities:
   1. On each page, provide a button to start/stop a recording specific to that page.
   2. Once recorded, show a small microphone icon or indicator on that page to signal that a recording exists there.
   3. When tapping the icon, the app should play the recording made on that particular page.
   4. Optionally, allow multiple short recordings per page, each with a timestamp or tag.
   5. Add a recording overview panel where users can see all recordings sorted by page, and navigate to them easily.

   Benefits:
   • Saves time by linking audio directly to relevant content.
   • Makes revision and review faster and more organized.
   • Especially helpful during lectures or meetings when users can’t write everything down immediately.

10. Flying toggle with colors

    I use iPad 8th generation and the screen is small. So, when I use split screen with half side covering my book and other half with GoodNotes, the panel with colors and fonts disappear. So, I have to click on it again and again to change the colour.
    It would be very helpful if there is a flying toggle with my colour options that I can shift here and there on my screen according to my convenience.
    Also it will save me time of going to the top bar every time I need to change colours. It would also be helpful to those with big screens who find it annoying to approach top bar to change colors.

11. BUG: tool switch by measure with an external laser measuring device

    Sorry for using the feature request to report a BUG. Unfortunately I have not found an option for a BUG report.

    I use Goodnotes for measurements on site. Goodnotes runs on the iPad with the latest padOS. I use a Leica Disto X4 for the measurements. The Disto is connected to the iPad via Bluetooth.

    BUG:
    I have activated the pen (or another tool) and measure with the Disto.
    Every time after the measurement Goodnotes changes the tool to "Newest" (the tool with the star icon).
    and you have to switch back to the previous tool every time after measuring.
    Please check and fix, or is there a setting to prevent this?

    Dear Developers and Desginers,

    I would love to be able to insert text in between lines already drawn. Otherwise I have to manually move text and try to insert the rest, IF there is space on the page.

    I understand that enabling this feature might mess up pages. Well, I would suggest to try to use AI to solve this problem.

    Or you might enable the feature while warning the user that the pages might get messed up. To do this you have to treat different pages as if they were one infinite page, I know... So, I suggest that in the backend you might save text in one unlimited page, but in the front end the user will only see it chuncked into pieces (A4, A3, and other formats, depending on what the user chose).

    This feature was requested 6 years ago, and I just paid GoodNotes 6 hoping o have it. So please, we really need it, as a community! 14. Shortcut tool for following links/writing

    When using a digital planner one is often switching between writing and navigating. Each switch requires one tap the button in the upper left.
    I am right handed, it would be nice if there was an area on the screen that I could hold with my left hand that would activate the link following options so I could navigate the planner and then when I lift my finger I can write again. For a lefty this would/could be on the right side of the screen.

    For example, it is the weekend, I am reviewing previous week(s) and planning the upcoming week(s). I am using DashPlanner, perfect for me, and that means I could be looking at 8-10 different pages, following a link to each of those. As I review a past week and a thought comes to me that I need to record, rather than reaching for the top menu I hold an area on the edge of the lower left of my iPad. it gives me access to links, I navigate to the page I need, lift my thumb and I can write again. Hold that area again, navigate back to the previous page.

    I realize it isn't much to tap the link/writing button on the upper right, but it would be a little faster and more convenient.

15. Creating Space in already existing text - or scribbles on a page

    I would join this wish, in combination with a feature from OneNote, which I appreciate very much: Create a gap on the page by inserting a space of any height. This creates space between existing text or sketches for additions.
    It might be a problem to move the space to the next page, because the content of the next page is delimited. A compromise would be creating a page on which the moved part is pushed.

    I've seen a lot of requests to enable in line replacing of handwriting with text. This would be a killer feature and would make the app even more fantastic. It would be awesome if this function could (also) be used to make handwritten notes clearer.

    Microsoft Whiteboard on Surface already uses this 'magic wand' function:

18. Support for STEM Students (LaTex, Codeblocks, Circuit blocks)

    I know a lot of engineering students that use this app, but have to use many other apps as well to take coding, circuit or higher level math classes. I use https://www.stempad.com/editor but would rather use GoodNotes6 because of all your other great features. The code and circuit block don't even need to be functional, just formatted like code and maybe helps you code like VS Code based on the language. It just takes a lot of time going back and forth between apps.

    When collaborating on documents, sometimes it may be necessary to make a copy to make individual annotations. However, making a copy will not keep other annotations up-to-date/synced with the master/main copy. Thus, a feature allowing users to “fork” a document and keep it synced while adding their own edits in their forked document would be useful. This is important and especially essential for educational settings where a teacher or project leader may wish to distribute a template version for individuals to edit, but keep annotations or edits updates on all copies.

    A further extension to this would be the ability to make pull requests back to the original document and merging from forks. This will be very useful for collaborative note-taking.

20. Put the COPY option back to its former position (pre 5.7.8/9).

    Move the COPY option back to the middle of the options when using the lasso tool. Having to move my hand/pencil all the way to the left (or to either far side, for that matter) is not intuitive for left or right-handed people.
