I would like to see a menu icon that would allow you to change the color of your ink or highlighter based on the next clicked on color. This would make switching colors to a previously used “standard” color much faster and would ensure that you had the exact same color used throughout the document for a type of note or section...

Integration with onenote

Goodnotes is a huge battery drainer, so I hope the next up date will optimize the app resources so it uses less power

Add a streamline option for the pen/pencil/marker tools similar to the streamline option in Procreate. That way, those who write in cursive won't have as much trouble with shakiness & therefore there wouldn't be any "jerky" lettering.

Good notes should include a ruler and compass. Especially for engineering students like me.

I typically need to work on the same document in multiple devices. For example, i may annotate a pdf at home using my iPad but at work I may need to read the annotated pdf in my laptop. Would be great to have full synch using iCloud Dropbox or similar services

You definitely have to include the Dropbox sync function as realized in goodreader. this would be essential!
And I'm convinced a bunch of people will be willing to pay more for your app

In dark mode, switch automatically to dark paper and white ink, and revert back automatically to light paper and black ink when in light mode.

I love using the lasso tool to move my handwriting around on the page. I also use the vertical scrolling feature to write my notes, but when I want to move text from one page to the next within the lasso tool, I can’t just drag it on. I have to copy/paste to the next page then cut or erase the text from the previous page. It’s a small thing, but a change that would improve work flow.

It would be grate to have goodnotes on windows and Android. It is a very great app. With a windows or Android devise you are unable to use this one.

sometiomes I use the ruled paper and wanna type on it,but the textbox seems not precisely fits the line spacing of the paper , i hope I can directly type on the paper lines ,not type in a textbox. Thanks!

Text needs to be improved
- Bullet points and other text features like tables needed to be added
- Switching quickly between preset text fonts and sizes
- Text recognition on pdfs is terrible, some fonts like ones used in some of my text books are hardly searchable
- Text boxes are annoying, don't mix well with handwriting and do not fit into the lines of the default page

It would be really helpful for engineers and engineers to be if the ends of the lines would "lock" onto the corners of each square on squared paper.

That would make it a lot easier and faster to draw vectors, circuits, functions...

But only as an option that can be turned on or off easily like the lasso tool for selecting images or handwriting..., otherwise it would get very annoying.

Add a paper page as new paper type with the date of today into the default paper type. So you are able to create a new note book with empty pages withe the date of today like a dairy book.

Ability to recognize typed text and handwritten text in png or pdf when importing documents or handwritten notes in pdf from another application.

I am using Notability as well as Goodnotes 5..
I want to emphasize on the point that you should make it possible to insert videos in the notes itself or at least give an option of inserting hyperlinks to youtube or websites.
It becomes so much easy for us to click the link and open it there itself..
U need to seriously think on this..

Please make it possible for users to be able to select an element's color and use that color as a highlighter or a pen.
